Another one of the tools available on the site is shortening URLs. This allows you to take a URL of your choice, and mask it with any of the domains we offer on the service.
Simply head to the URL Shortening page, and click the "New Shortened URL" button at the top of the page. This will open a modal allowing you to enter the URL you would like to redirect to. Additionally, if you have an active subscription, you'll be able to customise the shortened URL ID.
For example, on the Free plan, if you wanted to shorten https://google.com, your shortened URL may look something like https://uploadi.ng/abcdef. However, if you have a subscription, you can customise the abcdef part of the URL, allowing you to have a link similar to https://uploadi.ng/google. Please note, shortened URL IDs are not domain specific, and as such they have to be unique to any other shortened URL currently present on the service.
If you are on Windows, you can use ShareX to shorten URLs right from your desktop. Simply download and install the Shortened URL config from your upload preferences page, and select "yes" when asked if you'd like to set this config as the default. Then, you can head to the Upload > Shorten URL tab and enter a URL to be shortened. Please note, because of the limitations of ShareX, you are only able to use random IDs from within the ShareX app.
